The Uniplex Office Suite
The Uniplex Office Suite is a complete integrated
package which includes all of the productivity, communications,
and graphics applications needed for any basic office function.
It combines Uniplex II Plus, the Advanced Office System, and the
Advanced Graphics System, all for a very competitive price.
Uniplex Windows allows Uniplex Business Software
to run in a Motif environment on X Window System terminals and
workstations. This feature is included with the II Plus module
and requires no special installation. It simply allows Uniplex
to run within this graphical user interface.
Uniplex Datalink is a powerful additional interface
for Uniplex II Plus that allows third-party relational database
management systems to transparently and automatically exchange
data with Uniplex modules. Integrated support is available for
Oracle, Informix-OnLine, and Ingres databases.

Uniplex II Plus
Uniplex II Plus is the base module of the product
and includes a Word Processor, Spreadsheet, and the Informix-SE
Relational Database. A complete graphics system is provided including
Presentation Graphics (charts and graphs) and a Presentation Editor
(drawing). Database tools include Database Forms and SQL. A complete
print facility includes support for laser printers with multiple
fonts and graphics.
All features of the system may be individually accessed
programmatically with definable parameters. Existing menus and
screens may be customized and new menus and screens may be added.
All other aspects of the system may also be customized including
pull down menus, function keys, prompts, and help files. A Translators
Toolkit is provided to assist with semi-automated foreign language
translation; Uniplex Business Software is available in most European
languages and runs on virtually every brand of Unix server.

Uniplex Mail
Uniplex Mail is a full-featured electronic mail
system for Unix servers scaleable from the workgroup to an enterprise
and incorporates POP3 and IMAP services. Uniplex Mail also includes
a Calendar for individuals and a group Scheduler. A variety of
small applets include a Card Index, To Do List, Project Planner,
Note Pad, Calculator, Calendar, Personal Telephone/Address List,
and Public Telephone/Address List. A While You Were Out e-mail
notifier is also provided.
Over one million users run Uniplex Mail worldwide.
Uniplex Mail supports the WordPerfect or Uniplex word processors
for generating and browsing messages. Uniplex
Mail can be purchased as a standalone product or with the Uniplex
Word Processor, which then becomes a full-featured mail editor.
Document Access
The Document Access module, included in V10.0, provides a wide variety of document recognition and conversion
filters to support the exchange of information between the Uniplex
Word Processor and many other word processing, spreadsheet, and
database products. This module acts as an extension to the Uniplex
File Manager and allows conversion to and from Uniplex and any
supported format plus printing of those formats.
Formatted information may be exchanged between the
Uniplex Word Processor and other word processing systems. Text
information may be exchanged between the Uniplex Word Processor
and external spreadsheet and database products.
DataLink
Uniplex Datalink provides a powerful interface which
enables information to be exchanged between Uniplex and powerful
Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS's) from other suppliers.
An RDBMS allows data to be stored and retrieved in a structured
fashion, providing flexible access to key management information.
Uniplex Datalink is based on Structured Query Language
(SQL), an industry standard language for database access and management.
Uniplex Datalink allows stored information to be accessed and
used within the various modules of Uniplex Business Software,
providing a bridge between your corporate or personal database
and standard office automation functions.
Information may be read directly from the database
into a Uniplex spreadsheet, document or report. Uniplex Datalink
also allows data access where information is spread across a number
of remote sites, the distributed database capabilities of Informix
and Oracle are fully supported.
Uniplex Datalink supports interworking with the
world's leading UNIX databases, allowing data from an Informix,
Oracle or INGRES database to be accessed and used within Uniplex
applications.
Advanced Office
The Advanced Office System (AOS) is the companion
to Uniplex II Plus. It adds the groupware tools necessary for
team communications including a comprehensive Electronic Mail
system scaleable from the workgroup to an enterprise plus a Calendar
for individuals and a group Scheduler.
The database tools of the II Plus module are enhanced
with a Report Writer. A variety of small applets include a Card
Index, To Do List, Project Planner, Note Pad, Calculator, Calendar,
Personal Telephone/Address List, and Public Telephone/Address
List. A While You Were Out e-mail notifier and automated Memo/Letter
creation tools are also provided.

Additional Dictionary Pack
The Additional Dictionary Pack is an add-on to Uniplex
II Plus that allows text to be spell-checked in multiple languages,
even in a single document. One dictionary in the users desired
language is included with each copy of Uniplex II Plus or with
each copy of the Uniplex Office Suite. Any number of additional
dictionaries may be ordered. Languages available are:
